ANZACs on the Western Front
Trace the movement of Australian and New Zealand service members on this World War I battlefield tour through The Somme in France, and Ypres in Belgium where the tour begins.
This lovely city was virtually destroyed during the many months of fighting there. The tour continues to Arras, where Australia’s role is remembered at Bullecourt. The Somme takes on particular importance for Australians as it is where the ANZACS saw their first major action in 1916, with many more battles to come.

WWI Battlefield Weekend Summer 2017
Commencing in the Somme region of northern France, this immersive three day tour includes visits to Villers-Bretonneux, before heading to the charming city of Ypres in Belgium.
Circling back to France, the tour continues in Fromelles, Vimy Ridge and Lille. Tour attractions include mine craters at the Messines Ridge, the Canadian War Memorial at Vimy Ridge and the newly marked burial place at Pheasant Wood Cemetary.
