OPRAH CRUISES – FULL ITINERARY

7 Day Alaskan Explorer (Departs 11 August, 2018)

Seattle

The birthplace of grunge and expresso stands is greener and less wet than conceived. It is a haven for avant-garde art, music and film and fashion. Defined by its people and its geography, the Emerald City encourages diversity, outdoor recreation and an easygoing lifestyle.

Juneau

Alaska?s capital city features luring scenery that often seems surreal. Tracy Arm Fjord, Mendenhall Glacier, the Juneau Icefield and Glacier Bay National Park offer unparalleled glacier viewing, and The Tongass Rainforest climate boasts lush terrain and captivating wildlife.

Cruising Glacier Bay

Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve contains some of the world’s most impressive tidewater glaciers. For centuries, it laid buried beneath a mile-thick ice sheet. This ice has retreated over the last two centuries, exhuming a raw, misty realm of steep-sided fjords.

Sitka

Sitka’s past is a unique blend of Tlingit culture and Russian history. It lies at the heart of the largest temperate rain forest in the world, the Tongass National Forest. Island-studded waters and stately spruce forests make Sitka perhaps the most beautiful seaside town in Alaska.

Ketchikan

Located in the Tongass National Forest and close to Misty Fjords National Monument, Ketchikan is the “Salmon Capital of the World” and Alaska?s 1st City. The town?s colourful past is evident in the Indian villages and totem poles that grace its land.

Victoria

The capital of British Columbia is an intimate, sophisticated seaside city that is situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Located in one of Canada’s mildest climates, it is the sunniest spot in the province. This one-time colonial outpost alive with cosmopolitan dining, superb shopping and a colourful nightlife.

7-day Tropical Caribbean (3 Mar, 2018)

Fort Lauderdale

This vast array of wonderful beaches offers you opportunities to swim with the dolphins in a tropical lagoon and come face-to-face with alligators during an Everglades airboat tour. Or stroll through a tropical rainforest while hundreds of butterflies flutter above you.

Key West

Unearth this island?s rich history of pirates and treasure hunters while visiting its historical museums. Visit the multitude of eclectic art galleries, or take a glass bottom boat trip and experience the wonderfully diverse marine life that cohabits the Key West?s waters.

Grand Turks and Caicos

At the Atlantic’s far western edge, Grand Turk is the first place Christopher Columbus landed on his 1492 journey to the New World. This friendly island is known today for its relaxed charm, its superb diving and its spectacularly beautiful beaches. On the streets of Grand Turk’s towns, people say hello and donkeys wander between pastel-hued Caribbean and colonial buildings.

Amber Cove, Dominican Republic

Tucked on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, Amber Cove sits just seven miles from the town Puerto Plata, which boasts a playground of activities. Swim with dolphins, take to the high seas on a luxury catamaran, explore the 450-year-old San Felipe Fortress, ride on a cable car 2,500 feet to the top of Mount Isabel de Torres for a look at its massive statue of Christ, swing through the trees on a zip line or relax with a quiet picnic on the beach

Half Moon Cay

Fish the bountiful waters in search of barracuda, wahoo, snapper and grouper, or parasail over this lush island and view the vivid scenery. Snorkeling tours enable you to explore the coast of Half Moon Cay, which teems with a plentitude of aquatic life.
