Viking’s Australia and New Zealand plans
Viking Cruises is more than just testing the waters here with this voyage.
From December 2018, the cruise line will be dedicating another of its new ships to the Australian and New Zealand market for three full months.
Viking Spirit, the fifth ship to join the fleet in July 2018, will cruise between Sydney and Auckland.
The 15 day sailings will commence in Sydney, continue to Melbourne and Hobart, before crossing the Tasman for the New Zealand portion of the trip. Nine ports, including Wellington and Napier, will be featured.
Bali to Sydney
Recognising the importance Australia plays on the global tourism stage, Viking is offering another fascinating itinerary – this time from Bali to Sydney.
Eleven ports of call are included on this 17-day sailing, with stops ranging from the Komodo islands of Indonesia, Darwin, the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsundays, as well as Townsville, Brisbane and Newcastle.
Experience a land where dawn and twilight merge on the edges of the long Arctic night. Cruising far north in Norway’s winter, witness what few others see: wondrous snow-dusted landscapes, cities hushed in slumber and the luminous aurora borealis dancing in the sky.
Far East Discovery
Experience the colourful cultural tapestry of East Asia. Overnights in four ports provide ample time for full immersion. Chat with vendors in Hong Kong’s bustling Stanley Market. Visit Quanzhou, the start of the legendary Maritime Silk Road. Stroll alongside residents on Shanghai’s world-famous Bund. Learn about the powerful Ryukyu Dynasty in Japan, and explore a lesser-known segment of the Great Wall.
Bali to Sydney
Your exclusive package from Well Travelled, includes 16-night cruise Benoa (Bali) to Sydney; 3-nights accommodation in Nusa Dua with breakfast; airport transfer; flight Sydney to Bali (ask for other available cities).
Viking Homelands
Sail the clear waters of Scandinavia and the Baltic on this 15-day cruise. Enjoy overnights in cosmopolitan Stockholm and St. Petersburg, and explore charming historic city centres in Tallinn and Gdańsk.
Mediterranean Odyssey
Set sail on a 13-day journey through the storied ages from sunny Barcelona to the South of France and Tuscany and on to eternal Rome and the magical waterways of Venice.
Into The Midnight Sun
This 15-day voyage is an unparalleled exploration from the northernmost reaches of Scandinavia to the remote outposts of Scotland’s Shetland and Orkney Islands.
Alaska & Inside Passage
Cruise this pristine wilderness of misty fjords, lush forest and gleaming walls of ice, pan for gold like prospectors of old, meet local Tlingit who have fished these waters for centuries, and hear tales both tall and true of a region where a Wild West spirit still feels very much alive.
Small-Ship Cruising
When Viking set out to re-invent the ocean cruise experience, its focus was on guest experience and immersive destination highlights.
Ships carry a maximum of 930 guests and like the company’s river cruise journeys, everything is included with no credit card required on board.
And because of their small-ship size, Viking vessels are able to dock in central locations at each port. Viking’s oceangoing ships are the only ones able to sail up the Thames in London for example.
Viking’s all-inclusive value
One included shore excursion in every port of call
Ship-wide Wi-Fi
Access to spa facilities
Beer, wine and soft drinks with onboard meals
Other included beverages, such as specialty coffees, teas and bottled water
Port taxes and fees
24-hour room service and alternate restaurant dining
Self-service laundry
The features above are valued up to $203 per person, per day and all included when you sail with Viking Ocean Cruises.
What Viking is not
Forget Vegas style shows and umbrella drinks, Viking’s approach is one of sophistication and luxury.
Its approach to river and ocean cruising has always been to “reinvent” the experience.
So, on these vessels, it’s only adults, no casinos, no ship photographers or waterslides … just thoughtful and well-designed river and ocean cruise vessels.
