In May, 2017, the world’s most famous flower show will take place in London’s Chelsea neighbourhood – one of a range of events providing ample opportunity to admire Britain’s beautiful blooms.
The Chelsea Flower Show has been running since 1913, and is organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). It attracts some of the best international garden designers, who create innovative, themed show gardens for visitors to explore, as well as nurseries and flower clubs, who contribute glorious displays.
This year’s show takes place between 23-27 May. The demand for tickets is high with the event selling out quickly, but there are many shows around the country that are equally fascinating.
Other RHS shows around the UK
Several destinations across the UK host a variety of flower and garden shows to time in with the popular main event. The series starts in London on 14-15 February with an early spring plant fair, and continues throughout the year.
New for 2017 are flower shows at grand stately home Chatsworth, in Derbyshire, and Rosemoor an RHS garden in north Devon.
