For many of us, the more we travel, the more we appreciate Australia.
Sure we don’t have the cobblestone streets or the mountaintop railways, the dreamy island archipelagos or picture postcard 17th century villages but we do have plenty you can’t see anywhere else.
And it has to be said, these days, safety and ‘comfortable familiarity’ are increasingly important factors in travel decision-making.
All of that makes Scenic’s 2017/18 Australia program definitely worth a look as it captures many of our iconic experiences across a range of itineraries.
Of particular note is the new 11-day Victorian Discovery trip that also marks Scenic’s 30th anniversary being celebrated this year and acknowledges the first coach tour the company offered when it began operating in 1986.
A round trip from Melbourne, the journey ventures south along the surf coast via Geelong and Lorne and along the Great Ocean Road – home to the Twelve Apostles – and on to Warrnambool.
The route then tracks inland via the rugged landscape of the Grampians to the spa town of Daylesford and artistic Bendigo.
Scenic is offering a number of Earlybird offers for bookings made before March 31, 2017, including “Partner Fly Free” with Qantas on the 23-day Treasures of the West Coast tour with savings of up to $1,400 per couple including taxes up to a value of $150 per person.
There’s also Partner Fly Free on the 12-day Top End & Kimberley Spectacular; 17-day South Western Tapestry and 22-day Territory Discoverer & The Kimberley – a saving of up to $1,000 per couple.
