The one thing not to be missed?
One thing not to be missed is, of course, the Golden Gate Bridge. You can rent a bicycle at Fishermans Wharf and bike ride across and down to Sausalito (stopping at Vista Point for that key photo). You can catch the ferry back with your bike, past Alcatraz to Fishermans Wharf.
Tip: Don’t do it the other way, Sausalito is downhill from the Golden Gate Bridge. You don’t want to bike ride up the hill – trust me!
If I had more time, I would have …
If I had more time I would have done the Alcatraz tour.
My hot travel tip is …
A spot that not every tourist knows about is the 16th Avenue Tiled Stairs. The mosaic design is a work of art.
How do you rank this trip?
San Francisco is definitely in my Top 5. New York will always be number 1. See why Pamela loves New York City here.
My favourite meal was …
My favourite dining experience was at the Barrel House Tavern in Sausalito. The risotto was amazing and the cocktail list was very creative. At the time of my visit, the cocktail list was Game of Thrones themed.
I never travel without …
I never travel without a camera or smart phone to take pictures and capture that perfect memory.
Some final thoughts:
The Painted Ladies at Alamo Square is not to be missed either. This famous spot is quintessentially San Francisco with its pastel coloured houses and the view of the city behind.
