When it comes to travel habits, turns out the uber wealthy prefer to:
- Fly Singapore Airlines
- Stay at the Bellagio in Las Vegas
- Ride the Orient Express … but not the European version as first choice
Wealth research firm New World Wealth from South Africa interviews 800 high net worth individuals every year for ‘rich insights’.
The 2016 travel survey was illuminating.
Of particular note was that QANTAS came in second on the preferred airline status.

Of the hotels, interestingly, the Bellagio was the cheapest of the top five and all of them were relatively small. Only the Las Vegas landmark – where you can still get a bed at a comparatively reasonable rate – has more than 300 rooms.
