Food is an integral part of the Viking Ocean Cruises experience, with a feast of options for every taste and mood.
The Viking difference starts with the choice of ten all-inclusive restaurants. All meals, regardless of the dining venue, are included in your fare.
Dinner attire is smart casual too, so a dinner jacket is never required. Simply relax and enjoy the five-star service, quality cuisine and complimentary fine wine.
On every luxury Viking Ocean ship, there’s a subtle nod to the cruise line’s Scandinavian heritage. From Scandinavian works of art, to furnishings, each ship has a modern, yet comfortable European feel.
The Scandinavian influence extends to the on-board food experience too. Traditional dishes such as fresh Norwegian salmon and smoked foods are matched with Norway’s favourite coffee and national spirit, Friele and Aquavit.
Chefs lovingly prepare each dish with the finest seasonal ingredients, skilfully presenting each dish in the traditions of the finest restaurants. And for that cultural connection, Viking incorporates the local cuisine into the on-board dining experience, for a special taste of each destination.
Yet another way Viking matches food with the destination, is through on-shore tours. Join one of the chefs as they scour the local markets, as he or she selects the ingredients to be used in that evening’s meal.
With ten restaurants onboard, the hardest decision to be made each day, will be where to dine.
