Scenic is always raising the bar for river cruising.
Whether it’s creating a five-star dining experience with fresh local ingredients, hosting a culturally crafted shore excursion, or launching the latest luxury river ship, Scenic continues to enhance the tour and cruise experience.
The company is also a leading innovator but it doesn’t take a new ship to harness the latest technological advancement or luxury feature.
Take Scenic Diamond for instance. This lovely river ship has been sailing the rivers of France for several years now and to match the offerings found on Scenic’s newest ships, she has undergone a complete renovation.
In the process, the number of cabins was reduced to just 78 creating a luxurious floating boutique style hotel for 155 guests.
The accommodation features a plush 47-square-metre Royal Owner’s Suite that comes with its own balcony, lounge area and oversized bathroom.
There are four other cabin categories, including the Royal Panorama Suite with its floor to ceiling windows, the Junior Balcony and Private Balcony Suites and the Standard Suite.
The top category cabins feature butler service while all guests, regardless of their cabin choice, enjoy the convenience of unlimited complimentary beer, wine and spirits as well as shore excursions and gratuities.
Take a Virtual Tour
Thanks to the new Virtual Reality Tour, travellers can now take a sneak peek inside Scenic Diamond and its luxury spaces.
“For travellers who want to check out the various categories of suites as well as the on-board facilities, the virtual reality experience is the next best thing to being on board,” said Scenic’s Liz Glover, Acting General Manager, Sales and Marketing.
“Guests will be able to walk through our newly built Royal Owner’s Suite and feel like they are taking part in Scenic Culinaire, our exclusive on-board cooking school.”
Guests sailing on Scenic Diamond will enjoy even greater levels of comfort with a host of new features along with some engaging activities too.
Scenic is now the only river cruise line to feature a therapeutic salt lounge. This relaxing space is a humidity and temperature controlled room that is handcrafted from salt bricks that re-create the environment and atmosphere of a salt mine.
Guests can relax in comfortable reclining lounge chairs while enjoying calming music and low-level lighting. For the ultimate relaxed state, guests are encouraged to enjoy the Aroma Oil Massage after their salt lounge visit.
Dining is yet another way Scenic distinguishes itself. On board Scenic Diamond, you get the choice of six dining options. From casual fare at the River Café, to fine dining at L’Amour, guests will enjoy finely prepared meals and snacks throughout the day.

Scenic Diamond Royal Owners Suite
Take a look inside the Royal Owners Suite on-board Diamond. Located mid-ship on the Diamond Deck, the 47-square metre one-bedroom suite includes a walk-out balcony, a walk-in closet, separate living and dining area and even a guest bathroom. Guests also enjoy butler service and the convenience of daily laundry services.
Scenic Diamond Junior Balcony Suite
Spacious and inviting, the Junior Balcony Suite offers many luxury features. Located on the Diamond Deck, the cabin offers a full-size bathtub, balcony, and of course, a mini-bar that is stocked daily – at no additional cost. A cosy seating area gives guests the room to relax with a meal or cocktail.
Scenic Diamond River Café
For a relaxed meal or quick snack anytime of the day, head to the open and inviting River Café. Whether you’re looking for a sandwich, light meal or a sneaky dessert, River Café is the perfect place to recharge as you watch the scenery go by. As usual with Scenic, there’s never a charge for onboard food and drinks.
